These are difficult days for our country. The streets are filled with voices demanding justice, democracy, and a future that feels safe and just for all.
At the same time, fear, uncertainty, and exhaustion weigh heavily on our hearts.
In moments like these, we must ask ourselves:
What can we do? How do we continue to build when so much around us feels like it is breaking?
At Soma Studio, we believe in the power of creativity as both an act of resilience and a form of action.
Our space was founded on the principles of empowerment and pro-activity—a belief that art, expression, and community are not luxuries, but necessities. They give us the strength to stand up, the clarity to process our emotions, and the courage to envision a different future.
Right now, our country is in the midst of a struggle that will shape the years to come. Some of us are in the streets, raising our voices in protest, demanding a better way forward. Some of us are working behind the scenes, offering support, education, and care. And some of us need a moment to breathe, to heal, and to gather strength before stepping forward again. All of these roles are important.
Soma Studio will remain open as a space for those who need it—whether to create, to reflect, or simply to find solace among others who share their concerns and hopes. We invite those on the front lines to recharge here. We invite those feeling lost to find grounding in movement, drawing, and shared experience. And we invite all of you to remember that action comes in many forms.
Creativity is an act of resistance. Community is an act of strength. We refuse to be silent, but we also refuse to let fear dictate how we live. As artists, as citizens, as human beings, we have the right—and the responsibility—to keep envisioning a better future, to hold onto what is beautiful, and to continue creating the world we wish to live in.
For those who are marching—keep going. For those who are supporting—keep holding strong. And for those who need a moment of stillness, our doors are open.

מקום להחזיק בו חוסן ופעולה
אלו ימים לא פשוטים לישראל. הרחובות מלאים בקולות שדורשים צדק, דמוקרטיה ועתיד בטוח והוגן לכולם. במקביל, הפחד, חוסר הוודאות והעייפות מכבידים על ליבנו. ברגעים כאלה, עלינו לשאול את עצמנו: מה אנחנו יכולים לעשות? איך ממשיכים לבנות כשכל כך הרבה מסביבנו נראה שביר?
בסומה סטודיו, אנחנו מאמינים בכוח היצירה כאקט של חוסן וכצורה של פעולה. החלל שלנו נוסד על עקרונות של העצמה ופרואקטיביות – מתוך אמונה שאמנות, ביטוי אישי וקהילה אינם מותרות, אלא צורך חיוני. הם נותנים לנו את הכוח לעמוד, את הבהירות להתמודד עם הרגשות שלנו ואת האומץ לדמיין עתיד אחר.
ברגע זה, המדינה שלנו עוברת מאבק שיעצב את השנים הבאות. חלקנו נמצאים ברחובות, מרימים קול במחאה ודורשים דרך טובה יותר. אחרים פועלים מאחורי הקלעים, תומכים, מחנכים ומספקים עזרה. ויש גם כאלה שצריכים רגע לנשום, להחלים ולאגור כוחות לפני שיצעדו קדימה שוב. לכל אלו יש תפקיד חשוב.
סומה סטודיו ימשיך להיות פתוח למי שזקוק לכך – בין אם כדי ליצור, להרהר או פשוט למצוא נחמה בקרב אחרים שחולקים דאגות ותקוות דומות. אנחנו מזמינים את אלה שנמצאים בחזית לבוא ולהיטען כאן. אנחנו מזמינים את מי שמרגיש אבוד למצוא קרקע דרך תנועה, רישום וחוויה משותפת. ואנחנו מזמינים את כולכם לזכור שפעולה מגיעה בצורות רבות.
יצירתיות היא מעשה של התנגדות. קהילה היא ביטוי של עוצמה. אנחנו מסרבים לשתוק, אך גם מסרבים לתת לפחד להכתיב את חיינו. כאמנים, כאזרחים, כבני אדם, יש לנו את הזכות – ואת האחריות – להמשיך לדמיין עתיד טוב יותר, להיאחז במה שיפה, ולהמשיך ליצור את העולם שבו אנו רוצים לחיות.
למי שצועד – המשיכו קדימה. למי שתומך – המשיכו להחזיק חזק. ולמי שזקוק לרגע של שקט, הדלתות שלנו פתוחות.
